The Building Purchase Process

Prices

Structural Drawings

Purchase Documents

Our prices generally range from $20 to $45 per square foot for the building kit, with options and delivery.  Prices for larger buildings cost less per square foot than smaller buildings.  Prices depend heavily on the location of the building and wind speed of the jobsite, the size of the building and included options.

Purchase Documents

Once we have finalized your building design, purchase documents are prepared.  This document contains all the information describing your building and options.  It is in this document that you will select your roofing and siding colors and door options.

Once the purchase documents are signed and agreed payment made, the structural drawings for your building are ordered.  Our structural drawings and calculations for your building and foundation are stamped by a Hawaii licensed structural engineer.  After order, they arrive via email within 7-10 working days.  Our structural drawings are sufficient for permitting agriculture buildings.  For residential buildings, an on-island architect of your choice will help with permitting.

Delivery Schedule

Delivery Schedule

Structural Drawings

Once the structural drawings arrive and you are ready to order the building, the first thing that happens is to develop a schedule for fabrication and delivery.  This schedule helps to ensure all the vendors deliver to the freight consolidator at or around the same time for consolidation and delivery.  Once the schedule is established, the orders are placed with the vendors.

Our Steel

Delivery Schedule

Our Steel

Our US Steel is galvanized G90 which means each piece of steel has .9 ounces of steel per square foot called galvalume. The structural steel comes in various gauges and sizes depending on the wind requirements and size of your building. The roofing and siding is powder coat painted much like the finish on a car. We offer both 24-gauge and 26-gauge roofing and siding.  Each gauge comes with a different color pallet and warranty.

Options

Our Steel

We offer a wide variety of options to complete your building kit.  The basic kit includes stamped structural drawings for the building and foundation, structural steel and roofing and siding.  Options include roll-up doors in many sizes; insulation and automatic openers are available as add-ons.  Personal steel doors come with a primer grey epoxy coating; both in and out swing with optional panic bars and closure devices. We also offer insulation and window framing.  We do not include windows in our kits as they break during shipping.  They will need to be purchased locally and installed easily in the prepared framing. Insulation is available for the roof and walls of the building.

Containers

It is possible to purchase a container with your building kit.  With the purchase of a container, the container is delivered with a roll-off setting the container on the ground.

If we deliver your building in a rental container, it will be delivered to a truck accessible location on a chassis (wheels) off the ground about 4 feet.  You will most likely need a forklift to unload the container before it is picked up in about 5 days.
