Hawaii Ag Permit Exemption Regulations

Permitting for Ag Buildings

• Our Hawaii engineer stamped structural drawings
• Your property survey showing where the building will be erected
• We provide the application forms for your island
• The regulations are specific on the size of the building versus the lot size and the building location can not be in flood zone or encroach on any easements.  NO TWO STORY buildings can qualify for this permit.  
• If all regulations are met, the county must issue permission to build in 30 days
• Most all ag buildings are granted this permit
• After the building is erected, submit the 'as built' certification.  We provide this form for your island
• After the 'as built' form is submitted, the permit is 'closed' and an electrical permit can be obtained.

Permitting for Residential Buildings

• Our Hawaii engineer stamped structural drawings
• Along with an architect or engineer of record - on island
• Apply for permit
• This is typically a multiple month process

We have a list of general contractors on most islands that have erected our buildings.

We can supply a limited list of architects and engineers that our customers have used in the past.  You are able to select your own architect or engineer.
